COPPER FALLS STATE PARK
Take a walk on the wild side--wildflowers,
wildlife, wild waters.
Description: Experience spring's beauty with park
naturalist Diane Daulton. Saturday May 28th events offered 10AM-noon and 1-3PM.
Hikes begin at 10AM and 2PM to see spring flora and fauna. Meet at the
naturalist cabin 15 minutes prior to departure. Terrain varies from moderate to
steep, hikes are less than 2 hours in length. Dress properly, hikers are
encouraged to bring binoculars and insect repellant. In case of inclement
weather call the park office at 715-274-5123.
PEACE COMMUNITY CHOIR
The
Peace Community Choir will meet for

third "Community Coffee on Tuesday".

NST and ICORE are sponsoring a guided hike on the North Country NST June 4 at 10
AM> We will hike to porcupine Hill and back about 4 miles. Part of it is uphill.
Wear appropriate clothing: bring water and lunch.
VACATION BIBLE
SCHOOL
Immanuel Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 6th through June
9th from 9 AM to 11:30AM.
All children are welcome to attend. We will be
studying about baptism and the forgiveness of sins.
There will be singing,
crafts, goodies, and fun on the playground.

Planning has begun for this year's
BellRinger.
In order to have this event many helpers are needed.
Right now we are asking
for volunteers to call the library to sign up to help along the race courses on
race day.

Effective immediately, tires must be removed from
all
metal brought into Tri-M for recycling.
items such as bikes, lawn
mowers,
etc., will not be accepted unless the tires are removed.
Tires can be
disposed of for a variable fee; rate is determined by tire size.
PENOKEE MOUNTAIN RANGE CLASSIC BIKE ROAD RACE & Tour
Saturday July 23, 2022
REGISTRATION: 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Mellen Rod and Gun Club a short distance
South of Mellen on Highway 13.
RACE ENTRY FEE: Early registration $35.00 until race day July 23, then
$45.00 day of race.
AWARDS: plaques/medals for male and female winners. 1st 2nd & 3rd place
in
5 year increments. An award ceremony will be held at the school following
the race. No awards will be mailed.
TIMING: Wisport RJ Ochmann
RACE ROUTE COURSE DESCRIPTION: Approximately 47 miles of paved
roads through the Penokee Range, traversing rolling hills and flat terrain.
Additional services are pace car, 2 sag wagons, and water station.
Ashland
Co. and Mellen Police Depts. helping when and where necessary. Mellen
Ambulances on call. School bus on standby for inclement
weather.
Lunch after Race TBD.
